Toilet Clogs

If your toilet clogs, the first thing to do is to stop flushing it immediately to prevent flooding. Next, try using a plunger to dislodge the blockage.

If that doesn't work, you can try pouring hot water into the bowl from a height of about waist level to help break up the blockage.

Drain Clogs

If your sink or shower is clogged, you may be able to fish debris out of the drain opening using a small wire tool. Many hardware stores sell cleaning tools designed specifically for this purpose.

Please do not pour any drain cleaners into the pipes, as they could damage the system.

Losing electrical access is a frustrating experience, but there are several steps you can take to ensure your safety and comfort.

First, check to see if your neighbors are also experiencing a power outage, as this may indicate a wider issue that requires assistance from your power company. Next, turn off all non-essential electrical devices to avoid power surges when power is restored.

Contact your utility provider to see if there are any problems on your account causing access issues. If you still need help after speaking to them, contact us for additional support.

If you lose hot water in your property, check your water heater settings. Does everything look correct? Is the pilot light lit (only relevant for gas-powered heaters).

If you make any changes to the temperature settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water again.

If your heat or air conditioning isn't working, locate the central thermostat in your home and verify that all settings are correct. You may also be able to cycle the system off and back on again.
